I love and have always loved the Olympics deapite all the bad associated with them. I trained for the Olympics as a kid and wpukd have been.on a U18 team and maybe more had I not absolutely destroyed my shoulder in an injury. So as I had a Olympic dream I was.working too I have a special love watching. Now with social media, news being instant and people needing instant gratification it sucks with time zone differences because you are gonna find out results before you get to watch them more often than not. I used to love waiting for NBC coverage to start every day/night to watch events in either real time or unknown results as news was once a day not every 10 seconds. I'll still watch even though I'll probably know if Biles wins 5 golds or lands her new invented skill. If Ledecky is dominant in the pool or if Tom Daley can take a medal from china in his 5th Olympics but it does take some excitement out of it. I'll watch what I can live but a lot isn't covered anywhere until prime time which is way past the actual event and in todays instant news/info cycle we will already know
