I am currently on a few dating apps and I’ve experienced that I find it easier to start conversations and talk to women (I’m a bisexual woman), than with men. I want to try dating men, but I never know how to start a conversation and they hardly ever start the conversation so I’m wondering: how do I start a conversation with a man? (And I don’t want to read “just say hey” or “ask how they are or what they’re doing” please).

For reference I usually start the conversation with a woman by complimenting her appearance or asking her what movie/book character she relates to. Other than that I have just asked stuff about their profile, but most men don’t even have anything on their profiles.
