i am being induced at 39w exactly on August 21st. i went spontaneously with my first at 39+2 my water broke and then my contractions started after. i have no idea what to expect for an induction besides all of what seems to be horror stories and negativity on here about induction for the most part. i am told we will start my induction with a pill inside of my cervix and see how it goes from there. other than that i have no idea what to expect or how things will go. has anyone went naturally with their first and then induced with their second, or other babies? will it be easier since my body has done it before and knows what it’s supposed to do? could it still be as long as a first time moms induction could possibly be? what should i truly expect? i plan to have pain medication through IV and then an epidural when i think the IV is not enough. that is what i did with my daughter, and i plan to do so again without a doubt. i do plan on trying to get things going naturally before my induction date by getting a membrane sweep at my appointment on the 13th. i am extremely nervous about the process and what to expect. any advice, input, experiences, etc is much appreciated and is what im looking for. thank you in advance!
