Is my husband an addict?
My husband got badly injured at work. We had a whole lawsuit because they injured him so badly he wouldn't be able to return. They basically had someone who had a brain tumor operating heavy machinery and my husband almost lost his leg. We did win that lawsuit. This happened back in March and they prescribed my husband Percocet. My husband was out of work for a while because of pain but he's healed enough to go back to work but still claims he's in pain. He just sits at home and takes Percocet. Eventually his doctor said he's healed enough. He can take Tylenol or Ibuprofen. My husband was upset and had this whole panic attack about how he's still in pain. Yesterday we ended up in the hospital because my husband broke his arm. He said he was fixing stuff on the roof and fell out. The doctor pulled me out in the hallway and asked if my husband suffered from drug addiction. I said not really. And that he was prescribed Percocet after a severe leg injury. The doctor muttered something like "This is why I don't like prescribing opioids." He told me by how my husband's bone broke to him it seems self inflicted and my husband is wanting to be prescribed Percocet but he's prescribing him something like an extra strength ibuprofen and said my husband will be fine. I'm just so worried about him now
