How to approach this situation?
My husband’s aunt comes by once a week to watch our twin toddlers for a couple of hours between my shift going to work and my husband coming home from work. She said she’s going out with them for a walk and told her not to take them out from the stroller. She replied, “NO! That would be too much to handle both outside” I also said when they get back their dinner is in the oven, just to heat it.
I get home and husband tells me, one of our twins got scratched the on the nose by a small dog, she let both of them run at the park and one ran towards the dog and she fed them French fries. Husband gave them dinner much later
I got so angry, because she put my kids in a danger, today is a small dog, next would be something more. She didn’t even get the dog owners info in case we need!!!
We will be seeing her tomorrow and my husband said to tell her gently that the twins should go out under 2 people supervision and to remain in the backyard. He also tells me I should avoid words such as overwhelming, too much work, out of control. I think he’s being a bit ridiculous trying to avoid making her feel bad when she kept saying to him, “it’s just a small scratch” downplaying her out of control behavior
