How do you get your significant other/husbands to give a crap about the cleanliness of your home?! I swear my husband does not give a single crap about the state of our place. He hates when I act like his “mom” and I tell him if he did things without being asked I wouldn’t have to be his “mom”. The house is always a literal disaster, toys, garbage, clothes, dirty dishes etc everywhere. Every single room is a mess unless I clean it up. He usually works at 5 am and does four 10 hour shifts and is off Friday-Sunday. I also work 40 hours a week. He says he’s tired and I know he is he’s in construction. I’ve tried complementing when he does things instead of when he doesn’t and I’ve tried ignoring the mess until he’s at the point he can’t stand it but neither work! I said I was going to start a chore chart and he just chuckles and rolls his eyes. Our house gives me anxiety and it’s effecting our sex life and overall relationship. I know my post is making him seem like a bad guy and he’s not. I just don’t know how to get through to him that this is his problem too.
