hi all! just generally wondering if any of you have ever had a mediolateral episiotomy and needed to have it again with any subsequent births? with my first, i had to have an episiotomy after pushing for nearly 2 hours and was in and out of consciousness. midwives opted for an episiotomy as my daughter was too far down the birth canal to do a c-section without the result being fatal for either me or her.

for anyone who’s had anymore children after an episiotomy, did you have to have another? did you get an elective section? did you end up with an emergency section? i’m scared of the recovery of another episiotomy and kind of want to opt for an elective section in case i end up in another emergency and need a section anyway…
