Mental health in America

Su

Just want a conversation started on what we could do to improve the mental health in America

After the Georgia incident (and hundreds of others) it’s very apparent that we are doing something VERY wrong when it comes to the mental health of our youth and adolescents

What do you think is being done incorrectly?

Too many kids, not enough teachers?

Mental health counseling needing to be present at every school?

Too long of school days?

Shorter school weeks?

Is this more of a home related issue than school related?

Is it a lack of the family unit and support at home?

I have been out of grade school for 15 years and I personally never suffered from mental health issues. So it was easy for me to feel like no one else did either, which isn’t true. Since I am not immersed in it I can’t help but wonder why so many kids feel their last resort is violence

*I would like to save the gun debate for another topic. I know it’s hard not to address, but to avoid this topic being removed I would prefer to keep it on mental health of the youth*
