Guys.... I got scammed...
Okay. I know everyone is going to call me an idiot. There were red flags. And I am an idiot. Me and my husband do not have a lot of money. We both work and still live paycheck to paycheck. We have 3 kids and had no car so one purchase we decided to make for ourselves when we got my husband's student loan refund(he's in college) was a down payment for a car. We put down the down payment and got a 2019. We wanted something reliable. I get in the mail a letter saying I needed to activate my warranty. Listen. Our last car had so many issues. Was basically a lemon. I think we were a bit jaded from our last car and just wanted to make sure our car was covered. First red flag is this letter didn't say anywhere the dealership we bought the car from or the credit union we make our payments through. The person on the phone said it would be $557, a one time payment to pay for the warranty which already didn't make sense because when you finance a car it gives you a paper that says everything you're paying for and the car warranty was already there. But... Alas... I fell for the scam. Just to later find out this was a scam company and they scammed up out of $557.... Yes I'm a dumbass....
@Missy it's not normally what he uses his check for. But we needed a car. Obviously we want as little loans as possible but we decided this is the one purchase we truly need.
