When to take off work

Question

Not sure if anyone can help out or have any ideas. But I plan to use a vacation week for the week leading up to retrieval. I work in health care and I don’t want to miss any appointments of labs or ultrasounds that need done during that time. I was planning on taking the week of ovulation off. Is that what you would do?

I’m also in healthcare. I had them schedule my appointments as early in the morning as possible and had someone at work cover my patients for an hour before I got in.

I work in retail with no set schedule during the first 4 IVF I had but I was able to make it work and for my 5th IVF my schedule was a little bit more set I took time off for the retrievals and I’ve had 2 transfer and since it’s more planned I was able to request the time ahead

I work in healthcare too, I work 12hr shifts. During the entire process I worked night shift that was able schedule all the appointments around 8am-9am. Now that I graduated from the fertility clinic I am switching to permanent days because the first trimester fatigue is kicking my butt!

I am a teacher. I made all of my appointments as early in the AM (before work) as possible and informed my boss that they were happening. I took off for retrieval and transfer.
