Fertility specialist

Hey I been ttc for 2 years next month I did have my blood test done but the woman at reception stupidly told me to book it specifically for my ovulation day! Then when my doctor called me he said the tests should been booked for 7 days before my period was due so I now have to go through all the blood tests again, I have been referred to a fertility specialist and got my first appointment on 14th November, anyone who’s been through this with a fertility specialist could you tell me if they will put me on anything like clomid if I ask about it? Or do I need to wait before I can have it?
