Single mom wanting to move states.
I am 25 y/o with 2 sons and I am essentially a single mom. I currently have my mom watch my children overnight while I work and it works perfectly but I really want to get out of the town we live in. High crime, bad schools and overall just becoming a place you don’t want to raise kids. I am open to getting a day job but I still do not see how it would be possible to move alone to a new state with two children. Both kids are preschool aged but they only go to school from 8:15-3:00 and that is not enough time to work a full day shift if I want to move alone. I am strongly considering getting a “after-school nanny” who would only watch them after school but after research it could get expensive. I’m aware of after-school programs but I don’t know how realistic it is to only have that as an option. Looking for advice here please don’t judge I have moved out of state before with one child and it was ROUGH mainly because I moved to a very expensive city (ATL) and had very little planning, I will NOT make the same mistake twice. Any tips? Anyone move completely alone with just their children? how did you make it work? Thanks
