My husband and I are pregnant with our third child; a girl after two boys. Our oldest son’s middle name is my husband’s first name, and our second son’s middle name is my husband’s middle name. As we have discussed middle names for our daughter, my husband has suggested using my first or middle name. Both sound pretty with the first names that we like, but it feels somehow conceited or weird given how non-traditional it is to use part of the mother’s name for her children’s names. What do y’all think?
