I am 5weeks 6 days pregnant and all of sudden i saw tingy blood when i wipe down there, is this normal??

I mean i went to call my maternity unit for advice and they suggested me to go A&E so i went there, first they said its normal to have lil bleeding at this stage and then they said even if it is early pregnancy miscarriage we cant do anything to stop it, you need to go home and see (observe) if you continuing bleeding, check if you still pregnant by home test kit and carry on if not then it was a miscarriage

Is that what it should be???? I am so worried
