Got sick 3 weeks ago and got bumps on the back of my tongue that felt like a sore throat

It’s been 3 weeks what I thought was a sore throat it was bumps from the base of my tongue that kept getting inflamed and hurt a lot to swallow, not to mention it kept switching sides and now I feel like I have something stuck in my trachea that kind of hurts when I swallow.. I started with a cough headaches and sore throat and then that sore throat moved to the back of my tongue. My doctor won’t see me until January!!! Should I go to the ER? I’m not in pain anymore but it feels very uncomfortable and can hurt a little if I swallow hard foods. It feels like a small bone stuck in my trachea
