So I have BV for the third time now. The first time I had it, I was prescribe metronidazole pills (for 7 days) and it went well I didn’t have any problems. The second time I had it, they prescribed the same medication but in gel form (I had to fill an applicator with the medication, insert it into my vagina, push the so the gel goes in then remove the applicator for 5 days). That also went well I didn’t have any problems. This time I went with the gel option again and I prefer it over the pills, but I noticed this time it’s affecting me. Yesterday was my first day taking it and I realized about 15-20 minutes after I felt weird. My stomach feels funny and I got a heavy feeling in my chest. It felt like anxiety. Now today is my second day and I’m feeling the same way but this time I feel light headed. I don’t know if it’s just my body or if it’s the medication that’s making me feel like this. The medication didn’t come with any papers that give me information about the medication like the other two times. I’m not sure if this is suppose to be a side effect or what. Let me know if any of you ladies are familiar with this medication and if it affects you like this.
