TTC complications
My husband and I are trying for our second, as our first is now three years old. I’m still relatively new to TTC and for the last two cycles my husband and I have been TTC with no luck.
Now with this last cycle I’ve been tracking more, ie my ovulation, and this is where it gets complicated. My AF lasts for five days, after that I noticed I ovulate late. By late I mean I didn’t ovulate with this last cycle until CD16 or CD17 following that I started to cramp a little and even had tender breasts (which I haven’t had or noticed with any of my other cycles) so I thought that maybe just maybe I was pregnant. Until around 8DPO/9DPO I started spotting. It was a muted pink, so again I thought we did it.
I was wrong. Within a couple hours the muted pink menstrual blood turned bright red and I knew it was my regular menstrual cycle. While I know it’ll happen when it’s our time, I can’t help but be disappointed and upset that this one didn’t stick. Especially after tracking ovulation and baby dancing when we should have.
However, it also helped me to figure out that I ovulated late, and then had a short luteal phase, so now I have a dr’s appointment to talk about my options and see how I can improve my chances of getting pregnant with our second.
Any other ladies have any similar issues like this? No, I’m not diagnosed with PCOS or anything, my cycles in the past have been roughly a total of 25 days.
