mother wanting to put 2 year old child up for adoption after finding out the child isn’t hers!

I saw this on a moms group on facebook, a wife and husband were using a surrogate to have a baby, the child was TWO when the mother found out the child wasn’t hers! The husband had cheated with the surrogate which resulted in her becoming pregnant, they lied to the wife. The poor wife found out about the affair and had got a DNA test with the child which is when she found out they weren’t biologically related..

The wife now wants to put the child up for adoption.

What would you do in this situation?

personally, I wouldn’t put the child up for adoption after i had spent two years raising her, and obviously divorce the husband. What are your thoughts?
