6w4days, still no “dye stealer”?

Question

Took a first response this morning and my test lines are both dark but no “dye stealer”? With my first born I had a dye stealer very early on.
Trying not to read into it too much… I don’t go in for my first check for another 2 weeks. 
Could this be a sign of things not progressing? Anyone experienced something similar?
Breasts still fuller and a little tender, occasional nausea, but new symptom - I’m very lightheaded and dizzy in the mornings.

1. I would consider that a dye stealer. 2. Not all pregnancies get a dye stealer! 3. You’re far enough along that you may already be experiencing the hook effect and not be able to get a dye stealer. I was already getting lighter tests by that point. 4. A dye stealer (or lack there of) does not indicate health of a pregnancy. 🙂

Your hcg is too high at this point for a hpt to tell you anything more than positive or negative.
Not all pregnancies give a dye stealer. 
The test line only gets so dark before it begins to lighten. Once hcg gets so high, the test line will get lighter and sometimes even show negative. This is why pregnancy tests aren’t good for progression after 5 weeks. 
Save your money and stop testing.
You have a clear positive.

Only way to truly know is through blood draws.. hook affect is really only true around 8+ weeks but your levels could be rising faster than most and cause that earlier? I got my dye stealer with my last pregnancy but it never truly took the second line away and looked similar to your test at 6weeks. Levels had apparently stopped rising around 5 weeks and I did end up having a missed miscarriage but everyone is different! I’d contact doctor if you’re concerned maybe they can check levels for you 🩷 hoping for the best!
