What are some good foundation that won't leave flakey behind?

Why is my foundation always flakey? What can i do to this other than applying moisturizer which i do? I use covergirl, elf and L'Oréal makeup products.

Make sure you're not applying too much moisturizer. Allow your moisturizer to dry before applying your next product. Give 5 minutes between each skin care product and 10 minutes before you apply any make-up. ￼Use a good primer too. Make sure if you are using a water-based primer, use a water-based foundation as well. If you are using a silicone based primer, use a silicone based foundation. Silicone based products have ingredients that end in -cone or -siloxane in the first few ingredients. Water-based usually have water or aqua or glycerin in the first few ingredients. ￼￼ if you are using water-based products and you're still getting the dryness, try switching to silicone based products. And vice versa if the silicone products are drying for you. ￼
