UPDATE ON THE BOTTOM…

Until today I had not one reason not to trust my husband. Maybe it’s my hormones because I’m pregnant but I don’t know.

Would love to hear your input. Because right now I feel like it’s my own fault and I should’ve just shut up.

I saw this trend on TikTok where you ask your significant other to show you his phone to see if they would actually do it.

I never asked for his phone before. We have been married since 2018. and like I said, I never had a reason to not trust him.

So I go ahead and say „babe, can I see your phone please?“ and he just asks me why. I go ahead with the context like on TT „I feel uncomfortable lately and I just would feel better if I could just look.“ …

He keeps looking at me with that disbelief like did she just really asked for my phone?! Kept asking what’s wrong and what is causing this and what not. And I just said I would like to see it.

After like 3 minutes back and forth I just told him „joke, it’s a trend and I just wanted to see if you would let me have your phone“…

He counters with „are you serious?? Do you think this is funny? I feel a little upset that you would’ve thought like that that I have something to hide“ …

I just told him to relax it’s not that deep, clearly it was a joke and he didn’t gave me his phone.

However, I am hurt, because not only did he question my feelings on why I „felt the need to see it“ but also because he really didn’t let me! I brushed it off. But deep down it’s nagging me.

I’m sitting in the bedroom now and I’m seriously crying because now I do feel like there might be something and how stupid I was for even going and following a dumb trend having me all upset now.

We haven’t talked ever since wich is a couple of hours but I can tell there is something in the air.

I truthfully expected him to say „babe what’s wrong? But yeah if it makes you feel better here you go“…

Maybe it’s my hormones but I’m really a mess right now. And like I said, I’m mad at myself.

Update: he came upstairs gave me his phone and said he didn’t delete any messages because he thought it wasn’t fair but what I’ll find is not what I will like.

I didn’t go to any apps or photos etc. just looked at his messages and saw a few of his best friend, she’s a female. She is always excessively nice to me and I can sense that it’s fake.

Anyway, I found dozens of messages just by quickly scrolling through where she was making fun of me, calling me names or even told me to leave me because I’m boring. As far as I was able to see, he never put her into place like saying that she’s disrespectful or anything like that. He just simply ignored those messages. All of the few I saw.

I handed him the phone back, said thank you for letting me look. I apologized to him, sincerely actually and told him that I would go to sleep now.

But deep down in REALLY hurt. Because he did hide this from me. That’s for sure why he didn’t gave me the phone. But that’s not even the problem, what hurts me most is that he didn’t tell her anything. Like stop disrespecting my wife. Etc. like really?

I honestly regret I had asked in the first place. Because now I know that he definitely does not defend me at all. It’s like she can say whatever she wants and it’s okay.
