Period or implantation bleeding

I am currently one day late for my period. This morning me and the hubby was doing the deed and noticed a little bit of blood. Well a few hours has passed with no more bleeding. Went to the bathroom about 10 and I noticed there was a little bit of blood that got in the toilet and a little on the toilet paper. Just went back to the bathroom and there is nothing on the toilet paper now. I don't know if it's implantation or if it's my period. I'm not cramping, my boobs are still sore and my back is hurting just a little bit right above my right but cheek. I have not taken a pregnancy test yet and I don't know when I ovulated. Any help would greatly be appreciated and thanks in advance.
