Controversial topic: 41% of young Americans find the killing of CEO Brian Thompson "acceptable". Do you?

I was shocked to find so many people find his murder "acceptable". I'm curious: what do you guys think? Also, what did his murder achieve? Is it going to change things?

Murder is murder. But it’s hard to find empathy for a person who leads an organization that is complicit in the murder (by withholding medical care) of millions of Americans. He knew. He didn’t care. 
I’m more focused on the constant murder of kids and teachers in schools across our country. No one wants to address that, but we’re setting up a goddamn hotline for CEOs to report threats.

Not justified but also understandable. He killed many people in his own ways by denying them access to the care they needed.

Would I have killed him or took a hit out on him...no of course not. But have I lost even a nanosecond of sleep off him getting murdered...nope. I'm sure he had people who loved him but I am not one of them nor will I honestly care about a man who literally would walk by me sick and dying and not help or care about me.

Meh, don't run a fucking horribly inhumane company and expect people to be sad. Nobody told him with a knife to his throat he had to be CEO. Nobody told him he had to support actions that resulted in the death of millions. I am the CEO of my company and with that title I have done everything I can to make sure my employees are taken care of and we do business in the most ethical way possible. Thats my choice. Could I choose to say nope time for me me me and fuck people over and make myself even wealthier but I never will. And I have zero concern about being popped on the street because my choices in how I direct and run my company,  while some may not agree, are not seeking to see how many zeros I can add onto my bank account statement. Me and my husband already have more money than ever need or could spend...why do I need even more?? I don't so why fuck over others to get more.

For those they voted "justified", are you ok with vigilante justice? Are you ok with people going out and killing drug dealers in the back? Would you draw the line with drug dealers? Gang members? Other criminals? What if this man shot the wrong guy? What if it just happened to be some random dude that looked like this ceo? Or what if somebody else on the street got hit too? A bystander?          Also, what punishment do you think this man deserves?
