Should I get my friends kids gifts for Christmas

My friend is stressed out because she signed her kids up to receive Christmas presents because she couldn't afford it and they couldn't fulfill it because both her kids were not picked. I feel bad but also the things her kids put down not a single thing was under $200. I mean dream big I suppose. Just don't expect people who don't know you to fulfill that. I know the kids so I know things they would like that would be affordable however she's set up their expectation that they're going to get a MacBook each and other expensive shit. I don't want to disappoint them. She set up that expectation. So should I just stay out of it?
