No. I don’t have to share my things, why would they have to share theirs? That’s ridiculous.

No, there’s a lot that we expect/force kids to share that we’d never expect an adult to tolerate.

I tell mine that if they have something they dont want to share, they need to put it away or not take it them.

So it depends what are we sharing and why… are we having guest over and kids want to play with toys yes we share toys with the understanding they are not being taken away.. clothes beds personal items no we don’t share those things…

They should be taught to share community items (like if they’re at a daycare or grandmas house) They should not have to share their own personal items if they do not want to. With that said, it’s probably not a good idea for them to bring their personal items in front of other kids unless they want to take the chance of it being taken from them, lost or broken. That’s what I teach my six year old.

Depends on what it is? A communal thing that they happen to.bw playing with 1st...sure. like in school or I got my neices and nephews a giant amount of wooden train tracks and stuff that is all 5 of theirs so yes they share. Their individual or personal belongings..hell no. Teach that no is ok and boundaries are healthy. If a mom expects another kid to share a soecial toy or a personal belonging with their child she'd better be cool with me playing with her phone or taking her car for a spin. Kids are small humans not torally different beings...you can teach sharing and healthy boundries at the same time.
