Intense period like cramping and Braxton hicks everyday at 30 weeks - normal?!

The last few days I’ve had painful period like cramping on and off, which just felt weird because I haven’t had that kind of pain in weeks. I do get contractions normally at least once a day, but often a couple every few hours. I’m assuming they are just Braxton hicks, since they do go away. But it just feels really early to be having them this much… I asked the dr at my last appointment 2 weeks ago as they were getting more frequent and they said they couldn’t say what it means - just looking for advice from those who’ve experienced this! I have an appointment today and plan on bringing up that this is a daily occurrence, but I guess may be normal?!?
