Housewarming

Sierra

Are housewarming parties common for second homes? We just sold our first home and my husband made a wishlist on Amazon “In case anyone is going to have us a housewarming party.” Our families gave us a shower with our first house, but I’ve never heard of anyone doing a party for a couple who is moving into their second home and doubt anyone will throw us one. Just wanted to know your thoughts?

I’ve never heard of someone having a housewarming or house shower thrown for them by others. I’ve only heard of people throwing it themselves when they’re settled in to their new home. Maybe I’m out of the loop. 😅

I wouldn’t expect other people to throw one for you.But it’s definitely acceptable for yall to throw your own housewarming party.

I’ve never heard of others throwing a housewarming, but for a second house I would!

Housewarming parties can be held for any new home, whether it's a first or second one. It's a great way to celebrate and create new memories in your new space. If you're excited about it, go ahead and plan one yourself! It's a chance to share your joy with friends and family.
