Can sperm live longer than 5days?

Question

I know that they say 5 days max, but has anyone fallen pregnant from doing the deed 6-7 days before? Purple is when we did the deed (twice, late Thursday early Friday), blue is when I most likely ovulated (my tracker is not correct, I can feel almost the exact moment I ovulated) and peach is where I expect my actually period. What are the chances??? I know things can varies and depend on factors.

Sperm can live up to 5 days, but most commonly 2-3 days. If you truly had sex 1 week before ovulation, it’s extremely unlikely you’d fall pregnant. If you’re estimating your ovulation based on a “feeling”, then that chance is probably a little higher, but still not super likely without early in your cycle you had sex.

Although many of us experience pain around ovulation, there’s no way to know it’s happening right when the egg is released, or that it actually means that right then and there, the egg is being released. Theres no way for us to know the exact time of day we ovulate, or how long the egg will survive. Science is always changing , but right now, 5 days is about the max amount of days sperm can survive. 1-3 days is WAY more common, though.
