Birth Stories!

So Im a 3rd time mom and I had an epidural with my first 2. With my first my epidural only took to half a side of my body, I continued rolling to try and get it to even out which it never did. With my 2nd it took 5 attempts to place my epidural and baby was sunnyside up so my pain was extreme. For this 3rd pregnancy and birth hopefully in august, Im hoping to try just nitrous oxide(laughing gas) so im able to move around and actually feel when its time to push. Back up plan kf course is to have an epidural if I cant endure the pain, but seeing as I have a high pain tolerance Im hoping I wont need it. (Im a Marine Corps Veteran, both hips dislocate randomly as well as shoulders and elbows, Im missing 3 discs in my back and have 2 slipped vertebrae in my neck) Does any one have stories about their birth experience using nitrous oxide and no epidural?
