Got old lol. Gave myself a hard age cutoff as I didn't want kids past a certain age.

Two reasons: pregnancy was beyond awful for me, had a really traumatic birth and recovery. Then my mental health and sanity just knew I could only handle one. Then I fell pregnant through birth control unexpectedly a few months before my husbands vasectomy and I wasn’t near as happy about this one. I love this one, but I knew this would be it. No more. Based on that feeling I had. This was a better pregnancy but because I had such different emotions this time around, I just knew. So my tubes will be tied when I give birth. My mental health matters so much to me and I want to have time for my husband and self as well to be the best version of myself for them

I have had 3 high risk pregnancies and after each one I said I was done having kids. Obviously I changed my mind about that twice. I would go into the office totally prepared to ask for a tubal, but I could never pull the trigger on it and just got IUDs instead. There was this little voice in me that that just could not commit to something permanent. This time I was 100% ready and had no hesitations. I also know my body just cant do it again. If I want more kids I'm 100% okay with fostering or adopting instead of having another pregnancy.

My last pregnancy was high risk and the physical and mental stress of it was just too much. That and if I get pregnant again it will be immediately high risk. I’m just not in a place where I ever want to go through that again. My husband and I knew we wanted at least 2 kids and immediately after my 2nd babies birth I felt complete. I would have liked 3, but I feel so content with my 2.

I’m also struggling with figuring this out currently. I’m 26 with a 2 year old & 1 year old. Neither planned, but thinking I might want another. My husband is content with just two kids. I on the other hand, am so back and fourth on it.
