Spotting at 8weeks?

Hi mommas! I found out I was expecting on January 11th and according to my lmp I’m 8 weeks and 5 days today. Yesterday was my first appointment but I woke up to use the bathroom and had some light pink spotting that stopped after my first pee of the day. I brought it up to my doctor they don’t seem too concerned but they did draw blood work and schedule an ultrasound for next week. Well this morning I woke up and really had to pee again went and there was light spotting again and it has stopped again. I’m wondering if this could have something to do with holding my bladder to long? Numbers looked good from yesterday’s draw. Waiting for the ultrasound is so nerve wrecking.
