Teenagers...
I don't have any but I do teach them and I have this kid in my class who always threatens to tell his mom on me. I won't accept a two month late "I'm telling my mom!" I write him up for skipping "I'm telling my mom!" I give him an F for cheating "I'm telling my mom!" And his mom believes her children over anybody and thinks her kids are perfect and that every adult is just after her kids. Honestly I've learned to just ignore it. But something funny happened today.
He was complaining about being hungry and at the end of the hour I let a girl get something from my desk. He asked if he could have some. I asked some of what. He said "I saw you let her have a snack. Lunch isn't for another 2 hours and I'm hungry." I said I didn't give her a snack. He says "Yeah you did. I'm gonna tell my mom you're treating me this way " so I apologize and say he can help him and grab something. He gets surprised with my tampon/pads bin. He turns bright red and I say "Help yourself. Whatever you need. Don't want you telling your mommy on me." He huffs and walks off. Teaching juniors isn't for the week
Edit: He's almost 18. He's not gonna die from seeing a bunch of tampons/pads lol. He thought I was giving away snacks. He got to see what those "snacks" were. All I did was give him permission to look for himself. Not to mention I joke with my students on a daily basis.
