First time being pregnant

Yesterday I had my first ultrasound cause I’ve been cramping a lot and they were going based off my last period which was in Dec 29. That would’ve made me 7 weeks but when they did the ultrasound and they realized I was 5 weeks and 5 days. They did a abdominal ultrasound and the nurse could barely see the gestational sac. She was trying to see my tubes since I’m experiencing cramping especially on my right side. But she was having a hard time seeing my tubes. Afterwards she told me she didn’t want to scare me but to watch out for a ectopic pregnancy. But I mean in the ultrasound that’s my uterus and you can see a little bit the gestational sac. So my question is has anyone gone through this? I’m just a little concerned especially with the constant right sided cramping. It’s mild but it’s constant and thankfully I’m not bleeding.
