Iron transfusions

What’s your experience having an iron transfusion in later pregnancy?

I’m 37 weeks pregnant on Saturday, and I’ve been on iron supplements for a few weeks now because my iron level was at a 6. I’m just at the point where my body is just done, constantly feel like I have dead arm and legs and can barely do anything before I’m completely wiped. I’m still working full time as well.

I have my next appointment on Thursday and hoping my ob will put a form in for an iron transfusion just based on what research I have done, but looking for your experience!
