Old tattoo raising?

A 13 year old tattoo is starting to raise along some of the lines and it itches. Anyone else deal with this? I have had problems with this tattoo before and I don’t know what causes it.

I’ve heard that histamine can cause this also.

Can be scar tissue.

It’s normal for your tattoo to feel somewhat more raised than usually sometimes. it can happen from changes in temperature or humidity, etc. It happens to me if I get really hot sometimes. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about especially since you’ve had it for so long
