Still ok to use?
Little back story first…. I grew up not knowing my biological father’s side. I’ve only known them for about 8 years now and only have a relationship with about 3 people out of the whole family. Which is my sister, 1 cousin and 1 aunt. Everyone else wants nothing to do with me. Which is perfectly ok. You can’t force long lost relationships. So here’s the issue….. My husband and I both like a name for if it’s a boy. But I have a “cousin” with the same first name. He and I have no relationship at all. Don’t talk, don’t get together ever and etc.
We’ve like this name for a boy since BEFORE I even learned about my biological side and are finally having a baby boy after 3 girls. Is it still ok to use this name even though TECHNICALLY I have a “family” member with it? Mind you….the aunt I have a relationship with is not the mother of this said cousin. So there would essentially be absolutely no overlapping of names or of them ever being in the same room really.
