mih-CALL-eah (I'm not good at spelling things out phonetically lol). I love the first name, but wondering if it's weird with our last name. With both having the "mic/mc" at the beginning.

I agree with the other commenters. At first glance I thought it was pronounced “McKayla.” I think a different spelling would be better. Maybe McCallia?

I wouldn’t give my child a name that they will spend their life having to correct people saying it wrong because it’s spelt in a unique way 
But that’s just me. My husband’s last name is spelt differently from the traditional spelling and therefore EVERYONE mispronounces our last name. I HATE it. It’s incredibly annoying having to correct people constantly so that’s probably why I feel strongly about not giving a baby a name that they’ll have to deal with that shit their whole life lol

If you want it pronounced that way I’d make it look totally different than Michaela because everyone will read it that way. McCallia or Mykalia or something like that

I wouldn’t pronounce it that way. I also don’t like the name in general. Maybe consider Kalia (pronounced kuh-lia, pretty much the same or similar to the name you want). Or Kahleah/Kahlia (there’s a WNBA player named Kahleah who pronounces her name kah-lia. You can look her up to see if it’s the pronunciation you like).

I don’t think it will be pronounced the way you want it to be. I would pronounce this mik-ah-lee-ah or even meek-ah-lee-ah. I wouldn’t include an “all” sound in the middle.
