Nifedipine 30mg ER PLS READ 💆🏻‍♀️

Question ladies I am 5months pp & I am on Nifedipine 30mg the first 2months were awful my bp was still 140/90 I started noticing changes since the 3rd month on it my bp has gotten way better I lost tons of weight & I changed what I eat on most days my doctor referred me to the cardiologist so they can see what they recommend cardiologist said they want to monitor me to wean me off or completely cut me off but I feel like I have to be my own advocate because I’ve heard so many side effects on this medication & tbh the first 3months I had awful heart palpitations & the headaches were annoying but lately I’ve noticed my bp under 100’s I get concerned like I don’t even think I need this medication like that especially the high dose did anyone experience anything similar on this medication & if it got under 100 did you still have to take it or what did the dr recommend

I was told if it was 120/90 to take it

If above 140/90 to take an extra tablet

I was never told what was too low or if I still take it or not which bothers me & they just tell me continue to take it but what if it goes way too low I don’t want to feel dizzy or anything

Is it bad if it’s under 120/90 & I don’t take it I don’t like these weird side effects of this medication it’s done its job you could say but it’s probably one of the worse bp medication
