Let's just collectively laugh because my husband thought he was "helping" and really, really failed hilariously

My husband does some really, really dumb things sometimes.

This weekend I told him I needed a weekend to myself to just catch up on housework. I spent the whole weekend organizing and enjoying the solitude. It was fantastic, but also sad that I think that's a "break". Anyway...

Sunday he came home with the kids and I went to get my hair done. Before I left, I told them "Please put away your laundry. It's in the basket in your room". Obviously they needed clearer instructions. I came home and this man, this wonderful, sweet, but stupid man, took each of my children's laundry baskets (each full of freshly folded laundry) down to my empty laundry room, sorted it with their weekend laundry, and started doing things over again 🙃

When I came home, this man, this sweet man, asked what I did all weekend because the kids all had full laundry baskets. I said yes, full of clean laundry. He looked confused and said "Oh. I just did it all again."

I want to scream. I want to cry. Because each of my children AND my husband didn't realize that the laundry was folded. Didn't think "Oh that's weird." I told him I spent the entire weekend doing laundry and I am NOT doing it all again.

So laugh because if we don't, we'd lose our minds.
