Relationship advice

My boyfriend is a gamer and his female Cowoker told him “ Hey you should add my friend she plays really good and doesn’t have friends to play with.” Idk how I should feel about it that. I wasn’t upset when my bf told me this. But what got me upset was that I was watching him add her gamer tag instead of her adding him. A man in a relationship shouldn’t add a girl I think she should add him she wants to play. Then when I said something about it he yelled and got defensive and said “ Because I can and I her friend said she’s good and I want to play with more good people”. What’s yall opinion about this ?
