A little stressed
Found out I was pregnant about a week ago, I called my ob and I had an appointment set up for April 18. Well yesterday I was having very light spotting but period like cramps and back pain. Naturally I freaked out and went to my nearest ER. They ran blood and urine tests, did a vaginal exam, and did an ultrasound. The ultrasound specialist said that I’m about 4 weeks 5 days and I saw a very small circle on the ultrasound. She called it a yolk sack. She then said that there’s fluid on my uterine lining. Later on the doctor came in and told me that I had no infections and that my tests came back good. But that my hCG beta quantitative was at 443 and it should be in the thousands and that it isn’t consistent with what the ultrasound was measuring. He told me that the fluid on my uterine walls could be blood, but that he wasn’t sure. He then told me that he thinks I’m in the early stages of a miscarriage. I then called my ob and they said they wanted to reorder the tests and would like to confirm the miscarriage before anything is final. She seemed doubtful that I was having one and told me not to stress. Had my appointment with my ob and they did a blood test to see my hCG and progesterone levels. My hCG came back at 881 and my progesterone came back at 13.1. This is a picture of my ultrasound from today. OB said she doesn’t know if I’m going to have a miscarriage as I’m super early. I’m just stressed is all.
