More stuff is coming out about Vaccines and I regret giving my son 2.5 years old the MMRV before entering daycare. Where I am it’s mandatory 2 shots before entering daycare/school. He had febrile seizure, out of nowhere with no fever a couple of months post vaccinations. And even though I have read side effects can go past 1 month, there are no studies showing past that time but MMRV have a higher chance of febrile seizure than MMR. I am convinced my son got it from the shots and I have an enormous guilt for causing this to him. The seizure was so traumatic and for awhile I was so anxious it might happen again that I was watching him like a hawk. I can’t get over how I made a decision that caused this.

Get some therapy. You didn’t do anything wrong. Illness, viruses, fevers, etc all can cause febrile seizures. The seizure can happen before the fever. Just choosing to pick vaccines that he got months prior to blame isn’t right. Obviously vaccines have a risk of side effects, but don’t blame yourself.

my kid had seizure at 3 years old and it’s been almost 4 years and he’s never had one ever again. he’s perfectly healthy and there’s nothing wrong with him, it just happened. you need to get off the internet if it’s really causing you to correlate every little thing that could possibly go wrong with a vaccine.

It’s extremely unhealthy to assume a cause just because you want something to blame. I highly recommend therapy. I get it was scary and traumatizing but this isn’t the way to cope. 
It does not sound likely at all the the seizure was related to the mmr. 
Getting the mmr was the smart choice. Measles is coming back hard thanks to the antivax trend. Measles is dangerous because it wipes the immune system.

Febrile seizures are common. 
Measles, mumps and rubella are much more dangerous. Deadly even. 
Anything “coming out” about vaccines is misinformation. Children are DYING of measles. Please use Google.

I work in child care and febrile seizures are very common I’ve seen many over the years they happen to children of all ages. They are caused by a fever that increases too rapidly. Fever is the bodies response to infection. They are scary but do not cause brain damage or any lasting harmful effects. Measles is currently shutting down schools and daycares in my city. Children are being quarantined for 21 days following a measles exposure. The diseases that have been eradicated are much scarier than a febrile seizure. Many of those diseases your child is vaccinated against cause fevers so you’ve actually given him a better chance at preventing future febrile seizures.

There’s no new “stuff coming out about vaccines”. Vaccines are well researched and the benefits far, far outweigh the risks. Febrile seizures are actually quite common and can happen at any time. You have nothing to feel guilty about. Vaccinate your kid.

U wouldn’t have known that would happen ur not a shitty parent u did what u thought was best unfortunately side effects can happen and they aren’t that common even things such as paracetamol have them sometimes things just happen and it’s hard to explain why and you are feeling normal emotions try to focus on the present and that he is still here sometimes u have to accept what u can’t control and move on for your own benefit and your child’s, if you are struggling to move on and get over your fears which is understandable I would advise talking to family and friends and if that doesn’t help a get support from a therapist or other specialist help 🩷
