This last month has been bad I had to go to three funerals this week and one being my 5 year roommates funeral . This month I was supposed to be moving into a home with my 3 year long boyfriend. We planed a trip to another state with his friends at the end of the month but mentally I don’t think I can do it but he said he can and he can’t just bail on his friends after planing this for 3 months. I understand. We moved in a few days ago and he keeps asking me to pay for everything because he’s broke (we went half on everything) .He always has more money than me (he makes way more than me) but now he doesn’t and could he not be telling the truth about being broke so he can save up as much money as he can for this trip by letting me go broke. I didn’t think it’s something he would do but I learned from this app that it’s easy to ignore the red flags?

****I am on the lease , I expect him to pay his half every month but I also expected him to still have money after moving in .I don’t think I should be the only one paying for food,gas and the things we’re missing around the house etc. It’s just weird to me that hes so “broke” and I have to go into my savings for the both of us but not broke enough to go across the state for a week . I’m not upset at his travel just how conveniently the timing of his brokenness is.
