Colostrum Questions

I didn’t breastfeed my first baby so the whole concept is brand new to me. I apologize in advance if these are dumb questions and I won’t be offended if it gets downvoted lol. Also this might be TMI for some people, so fair warning before you read more.

Okay so I will be 35 weeks on Monday. I’ve heard people usually wait until 37 weeks to attempt collecting colostrum, but I have to have a scheduled c section at 37 weeks. Should I start trying now? I’ve been wearing pads in my bra because I noticed that by the end of the day my nips are sticky, so I’m wondering if I have enough to even try at this point? Does labor stimulate breastmilk production? How will I know that my baby is getting enough colostrum before my milk comes in and does having a c section affect how soon my milk comes in? I have formula to supplement with if needed, but I don’t want to need it because I did a bunch of research on the benefits of breastfeeding and I want to give it a go this time around. What is the best way to collect colostrum? I have a Haakaa pump but I usually see people using syringes? I’m just kind of lost with the whole situation. I do plan on looking for an IBCLC (I think that’s what they’re called?).
