Mom trying to take over 😑

I told my mom a couple months ago that we’re going to have our baby shower at a park so my husband could just grill burgers and hotdogs and the kids could play outside. Well, a couple weeks later she reached out to my husband telling him how she wanted to surprise “me “ with a shower 🤔

By the way, my mom thinks we’re the filthiest people and doesn’t eat our cooking. When she come to visit she stay outside and doesn’t come in. If she does come in she sit at the edge of the couch and it’s very obvious, almost like she’s about to fall off the couch. My daughter loves playing hide and seek so she picked up one of the throw blankets and tried to give it to my mom and she redirected my daughter with the blanket (which pissed me off).

Back on track, she then reached out to me a week or so later asking what are our plans and I told her the same thing I told her before. Then she says, well I want to help and asked if I wanted her husband to cook?? Then proceed to say well I already told him to bring his grill??!! wtf??? We’re inviting less than 15 people and my husband wants to grill. He doesn’t need help flipping hamburgers or rolling hotdogs just because she doesn’t like our food and think we’re dirty..

I feel like pulling my hair out 😩
