Am I crazy??

I'm so upset. My husband is constantly accusing me of cheating on him and this last time he accused me of cheating on him with his brother. Went as far as to ask for divorce and then told me he would murder me if it was real. Am I crazy for being so upset??

Take these texts and go to the police. He is homicidal and he’s not denying it. Go to the police and tell them you’re afraid for your life. You are trying to reason with someone who is not mentally there. You cannot reason with him. He is not going to all of a sudden be sane and give you an easy way out of this. His behavior is not going to change on his own. He needs to be admitted into a behavioral health facility. Stop trying to have a sane conversation with an insane person. You have to be realistic.

This isnt mental health issues, this is classic abuse. Twisting things, turning it around on you, telling you to be more sweet and loving (in otherwords lower your head, shut up and take it or it's your fault that you made him upset) it's unacceptable. People with true mental health issues hold themselves accountable for their actions....this is abuse and control and using 'paranoia' as an excuse. With people like this youre wasting your time trying to get them to change because they will always minimize it or evade real accountability.

This isn’t your responsibility. If he has issues he needs to see a professional and if he tells you “I don’t believe in that stuff” then he’s stupid and has issues. But either way, this is abuse and you need to leave. Even if you did cheat that’s not a reason to murder someone. Thinking it is and still saying “I’d only do it if i had proof” clearly means he’s not a safe person to be around. This isn’t your problem to fix or deal with. His insecurities and his mental health are issues he needs to work on, himself.
