My MIL keeps trying to get our baby on a horse 🥴

My hubby and I knew the convo was coming, his mother has horses and keeps making comments like she can’t wait to get our daughter on a horse/get her a horse etc. my biggest fear is my MIL putting her on a horse while in her care without asking us first. I would of gone off my tree.

(our daughter is 14 months old!)

My husband just pulled up to his parents house with our daughter and his mum was on her horse, she said “hi darling, it’s nanny, wanna come for a ride on the horse with me?”

And my husband instantly said “sorry mum but she isn’t getting on an animal 10 times her size and has a brain of its own. She also doesn’t have a helmet” and she said “well when can she then?”

He said “when she’s old enough to get on a horse herself”

May of sounded harsh, but we had our daughter in critical care when she was 3 days old from an accident, and I watched a machine breath for her and sat and wondered if she would make it. I will do anything to not have her put in that situation again, and personally putting a 14 month old on a horse without a helmet is just insane in itself. 😰
