Anyone else decide to skip the second baby shower? It's really not important as we live states away from family and we have basically everything we need from the first child.

It's been 14yrs so I do not have anything! Plus my bestie wants to throw me one! We will start planning next month! We can afford everything on our own, but it would be fun to be pampered!!

Maybe do a bbq or a fun gender party but put 'no gifts' on the invite?

It's our first baby but we wanted one just to celebrate with the family. We don't really want the gifts.

I didn't really want one because I think it's a little excessive, but my friends are insisting on it.  Maybe I'll just request a diaper shower or tell people that gifts aren't necessary...

I had one for this pregnancy, it's my second. It has been 10 years since my first, though, so we had nothing and although we could buy what we needed my best friend/SIL wanted to throw me one. 😊
