Kitten

So we have two full size dogs- husky and german shepherd. They are absolutely crazy but amazing. I really want to add a kitten to the family. My husband specifically said he thinks cats are useless and he doesn’t want one. I am not willing to just go adopt or purchase one without his 100% interest. I have explained I grew up with cats, it’s more for a companionship, and I generally want a smaller animal. He just doesn’t see it like that. He has one vision and it’s “they don’t do anything, it’s useless”. He really is a dog person so I don’t know what else to do. Any advice or suggestions?
