Feeling overwhelmed with registry

Hey everyone, Im a young first time mom and Im just feeling a little lost trying to figure out what baby needs. My family says theyll help but in my experience they arent very reliable so Im trying to make sure I can get anything that I need by myself if (or when) it comes to that. Because of this, Im mostly building a registry as a reminder/list of things I need but I seem to be struggling because theres so many products and some dont seem exactly necessary. Since I'm also in the process of apartment hunting Im really only looking to get the necessities for now at reasonable prices. Obviously theres clothes, diapers, wipes, but please leave a comment if there's anything you guys can recommend for me. Whatever you guys used the most and were most necessary for YOU and baby please let me know.
